The classic Babette’s Feast is now Off-Broadway! Based on the short story by Isak Dinesen (and made famous by the 1987 Academy Award-winning film- Pope Francis’ favorite!) the play is a bundle of exciting contradictions that can only be captured in the theatre. It is stark and lush, stunning and austere, mysterious and comic.  Highlighting the plight of a French refugee who finds asylum in closed religious community, the play is timely with a twist, showing how an strange outsider’s offer of radical generosity can transform a fractured community, bringing grace, abundance and healing.
