Canticum Sacrum (CS)
Rehearsals: Sundays, 6 PM-7:30 PM
September-June
This Renaissance motet and modern music choral collective ministers weekly at the 7:30 PM Sunday evening Mass, September through early June, celebrating and exploring the diverse traditions of Catholic Sacred Music. Directed by Michael Sheetz, CS sings a blend of contemporary Catholic hymns, traditional hymns, and several anthems and mass settings through the year. Singers college-aged and higher with previous choral experience are welcome to audition. Moderate sight reading skills are recommended, but not required. At auditions, singers are asked to sight sing and vocalize.
