Christianity: An Encounter that Shapes Life, Presented by Crossroads Cultural Center, Communion and Liberation and The Sheen Center

June 22, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm EDT

The 2017 Luigi Giussani Series on Faith and Modernity. With Dr. Michael WALDSTEIN, Distinguished Fellow of The St. Paul Center for Biblical Theology, and the Max Seckler Professor of Theology, Ave Maria University, and Fr. Solanus BENFATTI,CFR, Professor of Spirituality and Franciscan Traditions, St. Joseph’s Seminary, Archdiocese of New York

Following the inaugural presentation in June 2016 by Timothy Cardinal Dolan, Archbishop of New York, the focus for the second evening’s conversation will be to explore the heart of Christian faith, as described in Generating Traces in the History of the World:New Traces of the Christian Experience by Msgr. Luigi Giussani, founder of the ecclesial movement Communion and Liberation.

Generating Traces in the History of the World is a synthesis of Msgr. Luigi Giussani’s reflection on the Christian experience. His exploration of Christianity as an unforeseen and unforeseeable event in which the mystery became a man reveals how, by acknowledging this fact, an individual is simultaneously able to use reason and be moved by affection.

Free and open to the public, but tickets required. Get tickets here: https://web.ovationtix.com/trs/pe.c/10166610.  For more information visit the website.
