Mass of Dedication for the Shrine of John Paul II

May 13 @ 2:30 pm - 5:00 pm

Mark the dedication of the first shrine in New York to Pope Saint John Paul II on the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima. Central to the shrine is a relic that consists of a blood-stained portion of the sash that St. John Paul II was wearing during the 1981 attempt on his life in St. Peter’s Square.  The relic will be ensconced below a smaller version of the same statue of Our Lady of Fatima found on the façade of the shrine church in Fatima, Portugal.  The relic and statue create a unique parallel between the shrine in New York and the Fatima shrine in Portugal.  For more information and to RSVP, please visit http://stjohnpaul.org/.
