You’re invited to Columbia Catholic Ministry’s 42nd annual Merton Lecture! “The Fellowship of the Word” will be delivered by Roisin Carty — dialect coach from such films as Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, Wonder Woman, and Spectre — and explore the differences between the written and spoken word, highlighting Thomas Merton’s love of language.

This year’s lecture will be held at Corpus Christi Church, 529 W 121st St., at 7:30pm and followed by a reception with a special Hobbit-themed menu by chef John Krall. The evening is presented by Columbia Catholic Ministry and the Hugh J. and Catherine R. Kelly Endowment.
