The Twenty-first Annual Cardinal O’Connor Conference on Life

Free – $30Please join us the day after the March for Life for a day-long conference promoting intellectually rigorous discourse on the dignity of human life, featuring keynote addresses by Dr. Jonathan Reyes, Assistant General Secretary for Integral Human Development for the United States Conference of Bishops and Executive Director for Justice Peace and Human Development, and Sister Bethany Madonna of the Sisters of Life, and a panel discussion on “The Consistent Life Ethic and the Law: the Ethical Argument for Life.” The panel will feature Peter Breen, Vice President and Senior Counsel, Thomas More Society; Catherine Glenn Foster, President and CEO, Americans United for Life; Mark Rienzi, Professor of Law, Columbus School of Law, Catholic University of America; and O. Carter Snead, William P. and Hazel B White Director of the Center for Ethics and Culture, University of Notre Dame. The discussion will be moderated by Kim Daniels, Associate Director of the Initiative on Catholic Social Thought and Public Life.
The day concludes with a Mass for Life at 5:00 p.m. in Georgetown’s Dahlgren Chapel. His Excellency Wilton D. Gregory, Archbishop of Washington, will be the principal celebrant.
