Hello Friends,
Hope you are as well as you can be, given the circumstances.
I will be traveling in South America all of December and part of January (Peru, Colombia, and Panama) so I am trying to sublet my apartment.
The apartment is at 8th Avenue-between 19th and 18th on a 5th floor walk up. I have 2 roommates both ~30 years old and solid men of faith. Some photos are attached and I am hoping to get ~$1,500/month (but that is negotiable).
Please let me if you know anyone that might be a good lead.

It’s a 2-bedroom apartment above a hair salon in Astoria, Queens. 6ish-minute walk to the M and R trains, 15ish-minute walk to the N and W trains, and literally right in front of a bus stop that runs along 30th avenue. You can get to Midtown in 25 minutes. There are TONS of great places to eat and grocery shop in the neighborhood.
The available bedroom, the smaller of the two, fits a twin bed, a large desk, two small bookcases, and a nightstand.
My roommate is willing to sell some of her bedroom furniture, most notably a sturdy bed frame and almost-new mattress.
Big priorities are cleanliness and tidiness in common spaces, amenable to family visits and easygoing demeanor. Rent is approximately $1000 a month including utilities.
Cozy, furnished studio available beginning Sept 1 or Sept 15 for 3-4 months (i.e. end of this year). Near 2/3 and B/Q subway lines. Prospect Heights is a quaint, yet vibrant neighborhood with lots of shops and conveniences nearby. You can walk to Prospect Park, the Brooklyn Museum, and Brooklyn Botanic Gardens. I love it! Rent will be $1620 (includes all utilities). Send me a message if interested in your own place for a few months!
