I am a 25-year-old CF looking for 2 new roommates to live in a lovely 3-BR apartment on the UES. The apartment is a short walk from the Q at 86th Street and slightly longer to the 4/5/6, with several close grocery stores, laundromats, and churches to choose from. One room is open currently and the other will open on August 1st. The rent is $1150/month as a sublet until September 1st, at which point we’d need to apply to sign a lease and the rent would go up to $1160. I’m quiet but social, tidy but not obsessive, and would love to find roommates who are also practicing the faith.
One private room in three bedroom apartment available August 1st. Furnished with bed, desk, lamp and chair. Third floor walk-up. Located near M/R/E/F/7 trains. Clean, quiet, pet-free, smoke-free, drug-free apartment. No amorous overnight guests. All-female Christian household. Preference given to those with steady employment. $875/month to month tenancy, plus utilities. Serious inquires only, please.
Hello everybody,
My name is Laura, and I am looking for a CF housemate. The room I am renting is bright and big, 216 square feet. There are two small closets right outside the room. We would be sharing the kitchen and the bathroom (that has a bathtub). The room is located in an apartment building, which has more than 10 units. The building has an elevator, a laundry room, and a garage. It’s a 3 or 4-minute walk to the Q local train (Avenue U station) and a 10 -15- minute walk to the B express train (Kings Highway station). There are many delis, various kinds of stores, and a few supermarkets in this area. The building is safe and quiet. There are mostly families with their children and elderly people living in the building, so it is definitely not a party place. I am looking for a long-term roommate, at least 6 months.
The monthly rent this July and August will be $750, utilities included. In the summer months when the AC is on, the electrical bill might be a bit higher. In order to move you need to pay a returnable deposit of $750 and the first month of rent, also $750.
However, from September on the rent is, unfortunately, going up (thanks, landlord), and it will be $810, bills included. It’s ideal for a long term stay, at least 6 months.
About me: I am a graduate student and a teacher, I am writing my dissertation. I don’t smoke, I clean after myself, I am respectful, quiet, friendly, polite, I pay all my bills on time and expect the same from my housemate. If interested, please send me your Facebook contact! Thank you.
