Primary Responsibility: Design, develop, implement and administer program, which provides training workshops and assistance in job placement for high school juniors and seniors for summer internships
Direct Supervisor: Deputy Director of Inner-City Scholarship Fund
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the refinement and implementation of “best practice” workshop training
- Support Workshop Coordinators/teachers with planning and implementation
- Assist in research and proposals for program funding
- Research and secure summer intern companies
- Create and maintain working files, both soft and hard
- Assess student and employer evaluations
Performance Standards:
- Engage at least 20 corporations for internships
- Successfully place and assess 70 or more students in the Program
- Ensure all logistics for training programs are handled efficiently and in a timely basis
- Careful review and proofreading of work
- Supervise administrative intern efforts to maintain office systems
- Ensure calendar is maintained and projects carried out on schedule
Personal Characteristics:
- Flexibility, sense of humor and ability to work with a wide variety of constituents
- Willingness to seek creative and imaginative solutions and resources
- Excellent analytical, writing and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of MS Office programs including Excel and MS Word
- Professional business attire and attitude
- Professional and personable phone manner
