JOB DESCRIPTION
GRSS- Regional Human Resources Coordinator
Purpose
Reporting to the GRSS Associate Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Coordinator will assist in the day to day Human Resources activities for the assigned regions.
Responsibilities
Advise and assist in the HR functions of staffing, onboarding, salary and benefits administration, training, performance management, employee relations, and HR Online (Paychex) processing.
Liaison between Principals, Accounting Coordinators, Regional Superintendents and Business Managers.
Communicates with the GRSS Associate Director of Human Resources and Director of HR on all issues relating to bargaining employees.
Performance Standards
Maintain employee records on HR Online and Payroll Preview for assigned schools, in areas such as administration, compensation, benefits, training and development.
Assists Principals with the requisition process, preparation and distribution of job postings. (following the procedures set forth by the Superintendent of Schools Office)
Coordinates new hire on-boarding as it relates to payroll, employee benefits and conducting new hire orientations.
Administers employee benefits and communicates changes to Employee Benefit Connections (Medical, Life, Supp. Life, FSA, Commuter, STD, LTD, and AD&D, 403(B)).
Ensure proper completion of required documents for leaves of absences, to include Workers Compensation, Short Term Disability (STD) and Long Term Disability (LTD), Family and Medical Leave (FMLA) as well as all related correspondence.
Maintains and distributes all governmental regulatory and Archdiocesan notifications regarding employee safety, welfare, wellness and health.
Maintains up-to-date policies, procedures and related forms and posts them to appropriate shared drives for department access.
Ensures HR policies and procedures are followed and initiates process improvement suggestions to Associate HR Director and HR Director for GRSS.
Review monthly Consolidated Billing to ensure benefit changes have been reflected accurately.
Process employee terminations in accordance with established procedure.
Act as mediator in resolving employee conflicts.
Respond to employee questions or concerns.
Develop and produce reports and analyses, as required.
Perform various research projects in order to maintain legal compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations.
Education and Experience
Education Required: Bachelor Degree in Human Resources; PHR Certification preferred
Experience Required: 5 or more years of human resources administrative support. Background in Human Resources including, direct contact with employees, department management, and outside service providers. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Working knowledge of payroll processing. Working knowledge of bargaining contracts. Bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus. Valid Driver’s License required.
