Marketing Intern
The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture is seeking a creative, detail-oriented Marketing Intern with great follow through skills and a desire to join our fast paced team. The Marketing Intern provides assistance for the implementation of all marketing activities at the Sheen Center across a multidisciplinary event programming schedule, including publicizing and follow up on all Sheen events through advertising, postcards, brochures, fliers, social media and the Sheen Center website. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience, in a fun and friendly environment in each of the disciplines encompassed in the Sheen Center’s programming (theatre, art, music, dance, film, and talks). Activities and responsibilities include:
- New media (Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)
-Assist in design of marketing materials, including postcards, fliers, brochures, and new media design - Some design of promotions (both visual and video)
-Brand management (ensuring that visual & verbal messages are consistent across all materials)
-Customer relations & feedback (surveys, email list)
-Provide some on-site support for events and openings
-Data entry and reports (Mailchimp, Ovation Tix) - Website content maintenance
Qualifications
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Demonstrated research and organizational skills
-Ability to work independently and take direction
-Ability to work on multiple projects and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
-Ability to be detail-oriented while also grasping the big picture
-Experience with new media marketing
-Focus on efficiency, developing time-saving processes
-Familiarity with WordPress a plus
-Familiarity with a range of computer programs, including the Microsoft Office suite and Google Docs -Experience with CS3 Photoshop and InDesign – Experience with Adobe Premiere a plus
-General knowledge of Catholic art and culture desirable, but not required.
Twenty to Twenty-five hours per week $11/hr
