Scholarship Operations Associate
Overview: The Scholarship Operations Office (name of office) provides scholarships/financial assistance to eligible families to attend Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of New York, which serves over 100 schools within Manhattan, the Bronx, Staten Island, and the Upper Counties.
Direct Supervisor: Associate Director of Scholarship Operations
Responsibilities:
- Liaise with IT staff/vendors for automated application processing
- Ensure vendor accurately processes scholarship/financial aid applications by reviewing multiple databases
- Maintain knowledge of internal scholarship/financial aid guidelines and procedures to evaluate and determine student eligibility
- Coordinate and award scholarship/financial aid to eligible recipients
- Assist other Scholarship Team members with coordination of programmatic efforts
- Assist in communicating with families regarding applications and awards
- Other projects and duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business or financial services
- Strong computer skills: proficiency using Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access
- Knowledge of workflow processes, audit trails and back office financial services
- Proficiency using databases and information management systems
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus but not required
