LIBERTY TO DO WHAT?

June 1, 2022 @ 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm EDT

Eminent scholars Hadley Arkes and Rusty Reno join George McKenna to discuss McKenna’s seminal essay in the Human Life Review, “The Odd Couple: Freedom and Liberty.”

Ever notice how people use these terms interchangeably?  But they point to very different kinds of behavior.  LIBERTY refers to “morally indifferent choices,” while FREEDOM underscores “the moral significance of one choice over another.” We will discuss the real-world implications of this distinction… especially in relation to abortion in America and the upcoming Dobbs decision.

Tickets are $125 and include an open bar, hors d’oeuvres, coffee and dessert. RSVP by May 25 to: Christina@humanlifereview.com
