“Am I my brother’s keeper?” (Gen 4)

How does being a follower of Jesus affect my behavior and relationships with others? Is it enough just to keep the Ten Commandments? What about sins of omission? How does being a Catholic impact my life as a resident of a local community, an American citizen, a member of a global family? What do the parables of the Good Samaritan and the Rich Man and Lazarus have to say to me? Can love be expressed in politics, social coexistence, economics, international affairs? What does the biblical understanding of the human person mean for these spheres of life? How can the teachings of Jesus and the Church help me to understand and respond to the critical issues we are facing right now?

Every Wednesday over the next seven weeks (Jun 17 – Jul 29) we will be grappling with these questions and issues in “Love in Action: Being My Brother’s Keeper,” a webinar on Catholic Social Teaching (CST).
