Be inspired by the doctrine of leading saints and mystics on the third Saturday of every month through both lecture and guided prayer/meditation with Eucharistic Adoration. Fr. Ignatius Schweitzer, who spent six years in silence as a Carthusian monk before discerning his true calling of guiding others into the spiritual and mystical life, will deliver a one-hour lecture at noon on the “Mystic of the Month” leading into a two-hour guided prayer/meditation/contemplation session before the Blessed Sacrament.  The featured mystic Blessed Conchita, a married mother of nine children who was widowed early and left behind a body of writing whose volume rivals that of St. Thomas Aquinas, and whose mystical experiences have been described as akin to those of St. John of the Cross and St. Teresa of Avila. From 2-3 p.m., there will be prayer teams providing the option to be prayed over with the Oil of St. Elizabeth of the Trinity, beseeching the Lord for the graces of deeper prayer. For more information or to RSVP, email karenpagenyc@gmail.com.
