is the Hispanic Young Adult Outreach Coordinator for the Archdiocese of New York. Guelmis had a powerful encounter with Jesus when he was 13 years old and then sought out the sacraments of initiation to become member of the Catholic Church.
Since then, he has eagerly given of his service to the Church by becoming a lector, leading music, coordinating church groups, and teaching catechism.
When he was fifteen, he used the money that was given to him to buy food at school and saved it instead to buy his first Bible. Since then, he has gained a passion to read the Word of God, but more importantly to live it out. Because of this passion and his continual participation in religious studies, he has been given the opportunity to visit various countries in Latin America leading evangelization through singing and speaking.
Guelmis studied Communication at the Pontificia Unividad Catolica Madre y Maestra in the Dominican Republic. He was part of the pastoral leadership team that coordinated religious events and also worked for the Dominican government as the Director of a correctional facility for boys where he often had opportunities to teach them about Mercy and Redemption. Guelmis is also a song writer and founder of different music ministries.
In 2013, Guelmis married to his wife and now they both use music as a form of evangelization.
