Pjetër Nilaj

Director

Pjetër Nilaj is an Albanian-American native of the Bronx, New York, who has served as a youth and young adult leader in the Archdiocese of New York for the past 14 years. After a blessed period of discernment with the Idente Missionaries, he continued to serve as a Catholic speaker and faith formator for teens and young adults. In 2020, he co-founded Shpresa E Shqiptarëve Young Adults and in 2022, he founded Shpresa Teens at Our Lady of Shkodra Albanian Catholic Church. He is passionate about sharing the Gospel of Christ with youth and young adults and enjoys nature, traveling and playing basketball. He is completing his Masters in Theology at Saint Joseph’s Seminary in New York and is passionate about serving the young adults of the Archdiocese of New York.

Kaitlyn Colgan

Assistant Director

Region 1 Program Leader

Kaitlyn Colgan is a native of the Archdiocese of New York and a graduate of Stony Brook University, where she studied English and journalism and was involved in campus ministry. She joined the Office of Young Adult Outreach in 2018, and currently serves as the Assistant Director/Region 1 Program Leader, covering Manhattan and Staten Island. She is a member of the Archdiocese’s RCIA Advisory Council. She was a member of the 2019 GIVEN Institute cohort. Kaitlyn is currently studying graduate theology at St. Joseph’s Seminary.

Julissa Espinal

Region 3 Program Leader

Julissa Espinal is a Dominican-born New Yorker and a graduate of St. John’s University. She has been involved with Hispanic Young Adult ministries and Theology of the Body work since her college years. After a wonderful discernment period as a Religious Sister for six years, the Lord led her to the beautiful mountains of Denver, Colorado, where she worked in Early Childhood Education with underprivileged families. Since then, she has moved back to her hometown in NYC and seeks to share her passion for Jesus with those she is privileged to serve.

Zoe Dongas

Associate Program Leader 2

Zoe Dongas serves the office as Associate Program Leader 2 and Staten Island Coordinator. She graduated from Oklahoma City University where she studied Music Theater and International Studies as well as co-founded the campus’s Catholic Student Association. Originally from Nashville, TN, Zoe is an actor, musician, and game night enthusiast. She is the current Board Secretary for Catholic Artists Connection. Zoe aspires to grow closer to the person of Christ in the people she encounters and the stories she tells.

Anna Wulfekuhle

Associate Program Leader 1

Anna is a Catholic artist from the Pacific Northwest, committed to serving Christ in the poor and adoring Him in the Most Blessed Sacrament. Her current work-in-progress, Not Another Joan Thing, is a one-woman show about her best Saint friend, Joan of Arc.
