VOLUNTEER HIGHLIGHTS
Lay Apostolic Ministries with the Poor (LAMP)
Street Visiting & Scripture Fellowship
Thursdays, 9:00am – 11:30am (Midtown Manhattan)
LAMPcafé
Tues, Wed, Fri, Sat, 10:30am – 1:30pm (Bronx)
LAMP’s food and faith ministry called “LAMPcafé”, brings lunches, affirming conversations, Scripture readings, and prayer for the guests who come to two sites in the South Bronx. It’s important for the materially poor to know God has not abandoned them. Through encounters at LAMPcafé, a person on the street comes to know how much the Lord cares for him or her through the attention, care and prayers of the LAMP Missionaries.
