Columbia Catholic Ministry and The Thomistic Institute present: “Why Did Jesus Die? A Short Introduction to Catholic Beliefs”

On Thursday, April 6th at 7:30 pm, Fr. Romanus Cessario, OP will give a talk entitled “Why Did Jesus Die? A Short Introduction to Catholic Beliefs” at Corpus Christi Church (529 W 121st St, New York, NY 10027)

Fr. Romanus Cessario is a Dominican priest and professor of systematic theology at St. John’s Seminary in Brighton, Massachusetts, as well as an associate editor of The Thomist and Senior Editor of Magnificat. He has served as a fellow of the Pontifical Academy of St. Thomas Aquinas since 1999. In recognition of his outstanding contributions to scholarship, Father Cessario received the degree of Master of Sacred Theology, the highest academic honor of the Order of Preachers, in 2013. Among his numerous works are Christian Faith and the Theological Life, A Short History of Thomism, and forthcoming from Fortress Press, Thomas and the Thomists (co-authored with Fr. Cajetan Cuddy, O.P).
