Primary Responsibility: Execute all marketing and communication initiatives for Champions for Quality Education
Direct Supervisor: Deputy Director, Champions for Quality Education
Responsibilities:
- With Deputy Director and Associate Director of Development for Champions for Quality Education (Champions), develop and execute marketing and communications strategy
- Support Catholic Education Advancement’s (CEA) Director of Marketing and Communications by working with external stakeholders to elevate the mission and brand of the Archdiocese of New York’s (ADNY) Catholic schools through advertising, public relations, direct marketing, and social media
- Produce mass and personalized marketing material for print, email, online, social media and video
- Oversee special mailings and emails to donors and non-donors in Champions’ collective mail file (including Catholic Alumni Partnership, Capital Improvements Committee, and School Advisory Boards)
- In collaboration with the Associate Director and Deputy Director create and implement the production of stewardship materials including reports, gift acknowledgments, and thank you gifts for donors
- Administer Corporate Volunteer programs with support from the Associate Director of Development
- Design and produce fundraising reports and publications
- Oversee production and facilitation of marketing and in-room fundraising materials for all Champions events
- Assist with CEA special events as required
- In collaboration with the ADNY Department of Education’s (DOE) marketing team, create templates for school newsletters using boilerplate articles from the DOE and recommendations for simple drop in text the schools can personalize (in keeping with ADNY approved brand identity guidelines)
- In collaboration with DOE marketing team, develop resource materials for use by schools in their marketing and communications efforts
- Collaborate with Associate Director of Development to ensure smooth contact management
- Analyze campaign impact on a regular basis and offer recommendations for continual process improvement
- Work with CEA Marketing and Communications Director to ensure brand and messaging consistency across all Champion communication channels
- Assist CEA Marketing and Communications Director with special projects as needed
Performance Standards:
- Ensure all marketing, communications and stewardship pieces follow protocol, are creatively designed and economically produced and all deadlines are met
Position Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required
- Experience: Previous experience with a fundraising organization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proficient computer skills
Personal Characteristics:
· Intelligent, articulate, highly motivated self-starter with strong inter-personal skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with collogues, donors and volunteers
- Ability to carry out multiple tasks and work independently
