Special Projects and Events Associate
Professional Level: 1 to 2 years experience
Direct Supervisor: Co-Directors of Special Projects and Events; works closely with Vice Chancellor
Responsibilities:
- Provides administrative support pre and post event, including: database updates, invoice processing, check requests, archiving event materials and correspondence, event storage and inventory, shipping, and pledge follow up
- Tracks all donations, completes and prepare documents for data entry
- Manage special events email inbox, voice mail and update RSVP lists
- Update and track event revenue and expenses
- Collects and confirms donor information to assist with pre-event logistics
- Drafts correspondence and coordinates mailings
- Prepare and assemble printed materials for event
- Liaise with vendors and order event equipment and materials
- Assist with other events, as needed
Position Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Experience: One to two years of fundraising, special events experience in non-profit fundraising events or in Development for a not-for-profit preferred.
- Knowledge of protocol and etiquette standards
- Exceptional communication skills and computer skills including strong knowledge of Raiser’s Edge
