Discussion & Discipleship: Social Justice

February 26, 2021 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm EST

Why does the Church believe that? How can I explain this to others? D&D is a collaborative group where young adults come together to work through tough issues from the Catholic perspective! This month’s topic is Social Justice. What the does the Church teach about social justice? How is this different from the contemporary understanding? Have social justice movements been overly politicized? What would true social justice consist of? They will be reading sections 1928-1948 of the Catechism found here and a summary document on the themes of Catholic social teaching from the USCCB found here.
In light of COVID-19, they will be abiding by the applicable safety guidelines. Please be prepared and respectful. RSVP required. Followed by appetizers/drinks at a local establishment. Limited spacing. Please email Alexis.Carra@archny.org.
