Summer is a time of light, growth and transformation.

As we bask in the warmth and beauty of the summer season, the Shalom Catholic Community in NYC invites you to join us for a series of Summer Prayer Groups around the city! Each week our prayer groups will be in a different place, please check the date and the respective location of each meeting.

SAT July 8 – Kick-off of Shalom Summer Prayer Groups:
Theme: The warmth and light of faith
How to boldly embrace and witness to our faith in our times

SAT July 22 – Shalom Picnic at Central Park
Theme: ‘When love warms up the soul’
A conversation on affectivity and emotional maturity in our relationships

SAT Aug 12 – Movie night and Ice cream Party
Theme: Set my heart on fire

SAT Aug 19 – Make friends, grow in friendship, Bingo and Games at Governors Island
Theme: Unity: light for the world
Hangout, walk, sunset and games at Governors Island.

SAT Aug 26 – Karaoke night at Shalom Park
Theme: Shalom Summer Tunes
Prayer Group meeting and Karaoke night at the Shalom Park

Each session will include prayer, talks, meditation, discussions, music, sports, and fellowship. In most of these sessions we will have a picnic afterwards, so remember to bring something to share.

Our Summer Prayer Groups will be held on July 8th, 15th, 22nd, and August 12th, 19th, and 26th, at different locations in New York City! Check out the calendar!
