2 rooms available June 1st in a BEAUTIFUL west Harlem 3 bedroom. Interested in starting some kind of intentional Catholic artists/young professionals community where we are able to pray together, support each other’s projects and goals, and create a home where people feel welcome.
About the place: Dishwasher, IN-UNIT LAUNDRY, and 2 full bathrooms. 5 minute walk to both the ABCD trains and the 1 line. 5 minute walk from St. Catherine of Genoa (which has a steady young adult daily mass contingent!) 7 blocks away from St. Joseph’s Friary if you want to volunteer with the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal (which I recommend!)
I’ve lived here for over a year, and have nothing but lovey things to say about the place and the neighborhood.
Rent is projected to be 1100, but I’m still trying to negotiate with our landlord.
Please text/call me if you are interested. (937) 321-6370
Share spacious 2 bedroom in pre-War elevator building, next to beautiful Carl Schurz park and the East River, with Christian woman, 62, Ivy graduate. Female only. Available bedroom is the size of a studio (17 by 10.5 feet plus spacious entrance area and large walk-in closet]. Currently partially furnished with the bed and bureau in the photos. Can be empty. Available Feb. 1. Near Q, M86, M31, shops, restaurants. Views of trees, lots of light. Photos. Utilities about $60 per month.
There is no laundry in the building, but there is a drop-off laundry on the block, and a self-service laundry almost on the block. This is not a doorman building, but it is a nice building next to one of the poshest buildings in Manhattan. The neighborhood is very safe. Pets okay.
I am a Catholic religion teacher currently pursuing tutoring and Catholic TV and radio work. I had a small radio show recently. I currently work from home. I am friendly, but respectful and sensitive to people’s need for privacy and quiet. I am used to living with introverts who do not want to talk or socialize. I am neat. I like harmony and do my best to be responsive to my roommate’s needs.
We are two roommates currently applying for 3 bedroom apartments in the Upper West Side/Manhattan Valley/Morningside Heights neighborhoods. **We are looking for leases starting Jan 15-Feb 1.**
We are: young Catholic professionals in our late twenties working in Catholic media. We love hosting dinners, brunches, book clubs, but also love to curl up on the couch or in our room with books/Netflix and introvert.
You are: interested in living in an apartment where you can bring your friends over and meet new ones, where we talk a lot about Jesus, social justice, and books, and respect each other’s space, but make a home together where we all feel like we belong!
Our non-negotiables:
Clean – we are planning on setting up a rotating chore schedule among the three of us, to make sure all shared spaces stay nice and tidy!
Pay rent/bills on time – we split utilities and internet between us and take turns purchasing apartment essentials (dish soap, toilet paper) together.
Responsible/mature – we love to throw a good house party on occasion, but we also try to keep our apartment a space that allows each other to go to bed at 10 PM when needed!
Good communication: Our goal is for each of us to feel at home and feel ownership of the space. We communicate with each other about overnight guests, friends coming over, etc., and we expect a new roommate to do the same.
No smoking in the apartment. We keep our apartment 420 and smoke-free.
If you have any questions or are interested in living together, please respond to this listing. We look forward to meeting you!
