CF – Beginning May 1, 2020 – or June 1, 2020 large furnished room, sunny bright and clean, ac, elevator bldg, 2 blocks from all transportation – 3 trainstops into Manhattan, laundry on site – long term – $950 includes utilities. Yes you have your own large furnished sunny room and we share common spaces.
Full disclosure: My landlord is requiring commitment via a complete application package and $50 credit check fee by 4/3 for a 5/7 lease start. Since I have a limited amount of time to fill the room, this posting is long to include as much detail as possible. Apologies in advance!
I am a 33 year old Christian female. My roommate is moving out at the end of our current lease (5/6), and I really don’t want to let this apt go. I am looking for a female roommate around my age to take her spot.
Rent will be $1,395.63/month and the deposit is 1 months rent. The apt is a 4th floor walk up of a 9 unit building that is rent stabilized. Rent has only gone up 1.5% each year.
The apt is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath unit with the bedrooms on opposite sides of the apartment. The living room furniture belongs to my current roommate so if you have furniture, that’s perfect. If not, I will plan to buy. There is a wall mounted heating and cooling unit located in each bedroom as well as one in the living room area. Each is controlled by it’s own digital thermostat. We also have a dishwasher, laundry in the building (located on the main floor), storage on the main floor, and access to the rooftop which is a finished area.
The bedroom is 11’11” x 11’6” and will be unfurnished with the exception of a nice wardrobe that comes with the apartment. It includes hanging space on both sides as well as shelving and wire baskets on one side and glass front drawers on the other side. The room can fit a full size bed, night stand, dresser, and desk or bookshelf.
I’m looking for a clean, respectful roommate. No couples or significant others regularly staying over. I also do not want a roommate who brings the party home. No smoking or drugs in the apartment. Friends visiting from out of town or friends over for dinners/hanging out is cool with me. I will occasionally have friends visiting from out of town as well as friends over for dinner parties/movie nights.
Utilities are not included and are $35 a month for internet and around $55-70 a month each for electric. Some months it’s even $35 each. Since we have the wall mounted heating and cooling units, the price can depend on usage of those.
The apt is pet friendly. There is a $500 nonrefundable pet deposit which would cover up to two pets. I really want to get a dog (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel) so am hoping to find someone open to pets. I’ve wanted one since I moved in almost two years ago though so not sure when it will happen. I haven’t found the right one yet. FYI I also like cats if you have one.
We’re about a 5 minute walk from the Court Square stop. Queens Plaza is about a 5 minute walk in the other direction and Queensboro Plaza is about a 6 minute walk.
Please send me a message if you have any questions, would like additional photos or are interested in a virtual tour of the apt during this crazy time we’re going through.
I am a female, early 30’s looking to move to the Upper West Side or Morningside Heights/West Harlem area around April 1st. I would consider other neighborhoods as well.
I am pretty active and enjoy running and going to the gym. I also like traveling and exploring the city. I have a cat, so I’m looking for someone who is cat-friendly/ a cat friendly place to stay.
Seeking a roommate for a joint lease starting on May 1st.
You can’t beat the location or the community! Steps from Astoria Park and a short walk to the NW train at the Ditmars station, this adorable apartment is in a residential, quiet, and quaint area of Astoria, Queens.
For rent is a private bedroom in a 2 bedroom apartment. This cozy room has plenty of sunlight and a small storage space and can easily fit a queen size bed. All furniture pictured is for sale. My current roommate is moving to Texas to be closer to her family and would be happy to sell the furniture in the room and in the common spaces of the apartment. Some of the features of the apartment include:
• Not a Walk-up! Renovated semi-basement apartment with private entrance.
• Laundry in the unit
• Shared outdoor patio, great for barbeques
• Half a block from Astoria Park along the East River, with a free swimming pool, running track and running club, tennis courts, tons of free concerts and fitness classes, bike paths, carnivals, and the most amazing fireworks display!
• Pet Friendly – Cats and birds only please!
• Steps from some of the best and most diverse restaurants, great bars with live music, and quaint coffee shops for working/studying!
• On-call property manager to handle repairs as needed
Rent is $1088 per month plus shared utilities/internet.
A little about me, your potential roommate! I am 33, and a hospitable Midwestern girl from Nebraska turned New Yorker after living here for 12 years, 8 of them on this same block! I am an event planner by trade and I am a ministry leader for a young adult Catholic fellowship where I am responsible for planning our monthly dinners. I love to cook for friends, drink wine and barbecue on the patio in the warmer months, go out with friends, watch TV and movies, travel whenever I can, and spend time outdoors as much as possible. I look forward to meeting you to see if we would be a good roommate match!
If you’re interested, please send me a brief bio and any questions you may have. Please let me know if you would like to move in sooner. The room will actually be available as of April 1st with the lease starting on May 1st.
(details: please no couples! No dogs! No drugs and no smoking! Security deposit and background check required.)
