Job Purpose
Reporting to the Executive Director of Information Technology, provide hands-on support and expertise for Financial Edge (FENXT) and financial systems-related projects and technology initiatives throughout the Archdiocese of New York.
Essential Position Responsibilities
- Working in conjunction with the Executive Director of Information Technology and the Director of Parish Systems, show expertise in, and provide implementation assistance for the FENXT product within the Archdiocese of New York.
- Working in conjunction with the Executive Director of Information Technology and the Director of Parish Systems, provide hands on support for design, implementation and training for related projects, as assigned
- Develop and implement plans and schedules for all assigned financial and database systems.
- Train staff on how to use FENXT, Blackbaud, Excel and Access
- Provide hands on/consultative support/counsel for enhancements and system development with respect to FENXT, Blackbaud, Microsoft Excel and Access.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting with an emphasis on Computer Science or equivalent preferred
- Strong Accounting skills required
- Strong oral and written communications skills
- 5+years of large NFP accounting/financial accounting database experience required.
- Expertise in FENXT, and Microsoft Access and Excel required, along with the proven ability to train staff on how to use FENXT, Blackbaud, Excel and Access
- Cost accounting/project cost accounting skills beneficial
- Previous financial software experience preferred
- Detail and deadline oriented self starter
- Demonstrated knowledge of financial reporting standards such as preparation of Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Budget to Actuals, as well as Statement of Activities, Financial Position, Cash Flows and Functional Expense, required.

Job Purpose:
The Level I Technician will be responsible for Tier-1 response to user requests for PC assistance via phone support and ticketing system. End user support will be on a Windows based network within the office and various departments of the Archdiocese of New York, and over 50 remote offices. The Level I Technician relies on experience and judgment as well as pre-established procedures to identify, research, and resolve technical issues presented through level I and II Help Desk incidents.

Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot Microsoft Windows desktop and notebook PCs
- Maintain excellent communication with all end users and other members of the technology department
- Install and configure software
- Provide support for iOS, Android, and Windows smart phone and tablet devices
- Respond to support requests from customers, and document issue resolutions in the help desk ticketing system
- Execute other assigned tasks as delegated by the Associate Director
- Provide VPN Support for remote users
- Perform password resets/unlock
- Walk customers through steps to achieve resolution
- Perform other duties, as assigned

Responsibilities:
- Manage implementation of donor-funded academic and enrichment programs including Page Turners and Read a Recipe for Literacy by liaising with program founders and participating schools
- Analyze donor-funded school enrichment programs on a regular basis and offer recommendations for continual process improvement
- In collaboration with the Associate Director of Development and Deputy Director support the production of stewardship materials including reports, tax acknowledgment letters, and thank you gifts for donors
- Work with other members of the Champions team on relevant special events (annual breakfast, CIC event), assist with CEA and ICSF events as needed
- Support Deputy Director with ongoing assistance for all elements of the Champion board and Capital Improvements Committee
- Oversee special mailings and emails to donors and non-donors in Champions’ collective mail file (including Catholic Alumni Partnership, Capital Improvements Committee, Patrons and School Advisory Boards) as needed in conjunction with CEA Marketing and Communications team
- Oversee production and facilitation of marketing and in-room fundraising materials for all Champions events
- Support Associate Director of Development’s program implementation within participating schools and benefactor-inspired projects
- Draft memos (accounting and event-related), meeting minutes, and manage donor records in Raiser’s Edge and other department-wide databases
- Planning and implementation of events and special projects and related budget management as needed

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK
Environment:
The Accounts Payable department is responsible for the review and processing of payment requests for Central Services, Dept of Education, Parish Assistance Corporation, ICS and other related entities. Payment options include printing of checks, processing of either Wire or ACH transactions.
The Accounts Payable Clerk will report to the Director of Accounts Payable and is also supervised by the Accounts Payable Supervisor. The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible to ensure cash disbursements are properly prepared, documented, authorized and processed on a timely basis.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Timely and accurate processing of Accounts Payable transactions
Review invoices for overall compliance with archdiocesan policy, (appropriate authorized signor, correct general ledger account coding, and invoices initialed as verification of receipt of goods or services)
Review invoices and other documentation, for accuracy
Interface with other archdiocesan departments and or related entities to resolve documentation and other issues
Respond to requests for information relating to status of unpaid invoices
Follow-up to ensure payments are processed timely
Ensure files are properly maintained
Other related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
College Degree in Accounting preferred
2 or more years related experience managing accounts payable department
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint and Lawson Financial Systems a plus
Excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal skills; with the ability to multi-task utilizing time management skills
Ability to effectively communicate information to (especially via email and phone) and work with all levels of the organization
Able to be self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal instruction, team orientated, and flexible
