Primary Responsibility: The Development Associate will assist the Executive Director on the seamless implementation of the Catholic Alumni Partnership Program in the participating schools.
Direct Supervisor: Executive Director of Partnership for Quality Education d/b/a/ Champions for Quality Education
Responsibilities: Assist the Executive Director in managing all operations of the department, as well as assisting in the creation and implementation of department policies and procedures
Administration:
- Support Executive Director with ongoing assistance for all elements of the Catholic Alumni Partnership, including but not limited to managing and maintaining the relationship with the CAP Advisory Board, CAP Overhead, major gift schools and research
- Plan and participate in project meetings and individual meetings with members of the various projects
- Work with Executive Director on program implementation with major gift schools
- Assist schools with interactive components of CAP (i.e., provide website content, update schools and CAP Facebook pages)
- Assist Executive Director on select major gifts school-specific projects
- Ensure major gift schools adhere to deadlines
- Addressing/resolving any issues or concerns at the school level and reporting them to Executive Director if necessary
- Schedule/coordinate meetings
- Prepare correspondence and maintain current records/files; hard and soft copy
- Develop and prepare materials, reports and presentations for both internal and external meetings attended by the Executive Director
- Planning and implementation of CAP events and special projects as needed
- Maintain attendance logs
Office Management
- Assist Director in constructing and adhering to an annual budget
- Prepare check requests for payment to vendors
- Prepare monthly reports for the Executive Director on office expenses
- Oversee the mail/copy/storage, purchasing, shipping and CAP car services
Other Duties:
- Keep current on programs and initiatives at the schools, and within the Catholic Alumni Partnership
- Develop excellent working relationships with school faculty, pastors, trustees, and other volunteers to promote continual integration of alumni prospects

Primary Responsibility: The Major Gifts Associate is responsible for the stewarding, cultivating, and soliciting of major and planned gifts for Inner-City Scholarship Fund.
Direct Supervisor: Senior Director, Development
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for soliciting gifts of $10,000 and higher from current and prospective donors
- Manage relationships with approximately 100 current donors which includes continued cultivation, solicitation and stewardship
- Support Executive Director and Senior Director in arranging meetings, creating briefings, prospect research, and contribute to the development strategy
- Prepare proposals as needed
- Provide endowment reports and customized renewal reports to major donors
- Maintain up-to-date records on all donor contact in Raiser’s Edge
- Assist with Board of Trustees meetings and events as needed
- Work collaboratively with and in support of the CEA development team to cultivate and solicit donors for organization-wide priorities
- Must be a highly energetic professional with a track record of building donor relationships and closing major gifts
- Oversee special projects as needed
Performance Standards:
- Build a pipeline of major gift prospects with the goal of increasing current donor giving and acquiring new donors
- Arrange and/or conduct 50+ personal visits with prospects

Position Requirements:

Summary:
The person applying for this position needs to have understood and applied the concept of youth ministry as put forth by the General and National Director(ies) for Catechesis and Renewing the Vision. Renewing the Vision states: “Youth Ministry is the response of the Christian community to the needs of young people and the sharing of the unique gifts of youth with the larger community” (RTV 1). The purpose of this position is to implement the Cardinal Archbishop’s vision of youth ministry by promoting comprehensive youth ministry and providing the support, training, resources, and guidance parishes need to foster discipleship in young people and their families within their particular region. The Office of Youth Ministry is part of the Department of Youth Faith Formation which serves parishes in their ministries to young people and their families from pre-K to twelfth grade.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The job of the Regional Coordinator of Youth Ministry (South of Yonkers) is to support and coordinate youth ministry efforts for high school age students up until the college level within their respective region. The key responsibility of this position is to work closely with parish communities to develop, grow, and support their ministries to and with high school-aged youth. The Regional Coordinator will be the liaison between the local communities within his/her region and the Office of Youth Ministry. The Southern Regional Coordinator will work as part of the Office of Youth Ministry team and in close collaboration with his/her colleagues in the Department of Youth Faith Formation.
Regional Coordinators will:
- Work collaboratively with parish leadership in the region to develop, grow, and evaluate effective disciple-making ministries to young people and their families
- Engage in parish consultation and resourcing
- Facilitate youth ministry training programs
- Facilitate youth regional gatherings
- Foster healthy relationships with regional parish, catechetical, and youth ministry leadership
- Visit parish programs and leaders on a regular basis
- Identify and share effective resources and practices with parish communities
- Gather youth ministry leaders on a regular basis
- Promote participation of leaders at regional, archdiocesan, national, international gatherings, retreats, and outreach and mission opportunities
- Work collaboratively with regional leadership to develop and facilitate training and events for parents, families, children, and youth on the local level
- Submit periodic reports to the Director on a regular basis
- Attend Office and Departmental staff meetings

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree minimum. A concentration in youth ministry/theology/education preferred.
- Five years of related experience in youth ministry

- Continues to learn about trends, methods, teachings, and research in adolescence, ministry, and education
- Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills

Overview:
The Archdiocese of New York encompasses 295 parishes in the greater New York area, including the recently renovated St. Patrick’s Cathedral where Pope Francis visited this past September! The Cardinal’s Annual Stewardship Appeal (CASA) is the annual fund for the archdiocese, raising over $20 million a year, to support charitable efforts which impact countless people throughout its ten counties. We are looking for campaign managers to be a part of our growing development team. Ideal candidates possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to work both independently and within a team environment. Currently, the CASA Office manages two other campaigns in addition to its annual fund – Capital Campaigns and Increased Offertory Campaigns.
Responsibilities:
- Help provide financial strength and stability to the Archdiocese of New York and its parishes by assisting in raising money for necessary capital projects, operational expenses, debt reduction, or to enhance reserves for future needs
- Meet regularly with pastors across the archdiocese to design a tailored approach in order to help the parish reach its fundraising goals
- Develop and implement strategies for increasing participation in assigned parishes
- Attend weekly staff meetings and report on individual parish progress
- Attend parish-based meetings, which can occur on some evenings and weekends
- Identification and advancement of prospects who have the capacity for greater giving
- Data management and analysis with the goal of maximizing fundraising efforts
- Draft and prepare tailored correspondence for individual parishes
- Cardinal’s Appeal:
- Consult with 40 to 60 parishes to achieve their monetary and participation annual fund goals
- Prioritize closing gifts in the $500-$5,000 range
- Articulate the Cardinal’s Appeal message in a way that resonates with parishioners
- Assist pastor in establishing volunteer teams at parishes to maximize fundraising efforts
- Capital Campaign:
- Help parishes raise funds required to achieve their most pressing needs
- Prioritize securing pledges in the $25,000-$250,000 range
- Assist pastor in establishing leadership committees tasked with engaging prospects to commit to the campaign
- Proactively manage all parish level solicitations
- Increased Offertory Campaign:
- Work with parishes on proven methods to enhance their collections, with the goal of increasing their regular offertory by 20% or more
- Emphasize stewardship as an integral component to the success of the campaign
- Special projects and events as needed
Standards of Performance:
- Achieve financial and other non-monetary goals (i.e. participation, volunteer team establishment) with a measurable increase over the prior year’s results
- Build and maintain relationships with pastors, parish staff and volunteers
- Submit detailed parish analytical and statistical reports during the campaign in a timely fashion
- Identify 20 leadership gift prospects per year
